NEET 2022 exam Dates, Application Form, Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Eligibility National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the biggest entrance exam for medical and allied courses offered across the country. The paper-pencil based test (PBT) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Last year, the exam had undergone a lot of changes in terms of exam pattern, location of the test, admission process and more. According to NTA, NEET UG 2022 may be conducted more than once and the exam authorities are exploring the possibility. As per reports, NTA is likely to conduct NEET 2022 in May. Hence, it is expected that the NEET 2022 notification will be released in March 2022 while the application process may commence alongside and the window will remain open for a month approximately.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the notification of NEET UG used to be released in the month of October and the application process used to be conducted from November to December and the exam was conducted in May. However, the NEET schedule has been deferred since 2020 on account of the pandemic. It is expected that NEET 2022 schedule will be conducted earlier compared to that of NEET 2021. However, the schedule may vary depending on the graph of COVID-19. Moreover, it is likely that the changes introduced last year would be carried forward for NEET 2022 as well. NEET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of NEET is likely to remain the same as that of last year. The eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, nationality, and others.

Nationality:
Citizens or applicants belonging to the following nationalities are eligible to apply for NEET:

Indian Nationals

Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

Persons with Indian Origin (PIO)

Foreign Nationals

Age Limit:

The age limit or age criteria for NEET candidates are as follows:

The minimum age of a candidate as of December 31, 2022, should be 17 years

There is no upper age limit and candidates older than 25 years of age will be eligible to apply for NEET 2022 and will be provisionally admitted subject to the ruling of the High Court of Delhi.

Minimum qualification:

Applicants should fulfil the educational qualification mentioned below:

Candidate must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institute

Candidates who are appearing for Class 12 or equivalent in summer 2021 can also apply for NEET 2022

Candidates who have completed Class 12 or equivalent from an open school are also eligible

Mandatory subjects:
Candidate must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Biology as an additional subject are also eligible

Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination:
General category: 50 per cent

PWD category: 45 per cent

SC/ST/OBC: 40 per cent

NEET 2022 Application Form Process
The NEET 2022 application process will be completely online wherein applicants will have to visit the NEET 2022 official website and complete the procedure given in the following steps:

Visit the NEET 2022 official website

Click on the tab indicating the application form

Read all the instructions and register with personal details such as name, contact details, password, etc. to generate application number and password

After the credentials are generated, log in and fill the application form with personal and educational details, exam medium and exam city preference and photograph and signature upload

Pay the application fee in online mode through credit/debit card, net banking, Paytm and UPI
